Highland Council Adaptation Strategy (presentation): An introduction to a pioneer Local Authority’s draft strategy, then open to consultation.
Carse of Gowrie -Refining the Impacts (interactive): Detailed examination, of the impacts (identified broadly in workshop 1), in one discrete area of the study region with more uniform characteristics. Trialling a methodology being developed by Adaptation Scotland and using worksheets and climate information for that specific area.
Tourism in the Cairngorms National Park (interactive): Exploring the vulnerability of the tourism industry to projected changes in climate for this area. Trialling another methodology being developed by Adaptation Scotland, including a scoring system for sensitivity and adaptive capacity to give an overall vulnerability score.
Risks to Transport (interactive): Exploration of the key risks to transport in the A9 corridor and the impact these may have on other sectors and users of the transport network. Starting with the risks identified at a national level, the workshop examined their relevance for this region and their impact on other sectors - agriculture & forestry, communities and industry.
