How will vulnerable groups weather the storm?

Partnership project with the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations, Highlands and Islands Equality Forum and Adaptation Scotland

During February and March 2011 the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) and the Highlands and Islands Equality forum undertook a seies of workshops aimed at better understanding how vulnerable groups may be impacted by changes in climate. 

The workshops were undertaken at 5 locations accross the Highland and on Orkney and Shetland and were attended by both service providers and representatives of vulnerable groups.

Participants identified impacts relating to physical and mental health, financial security, damage to property, mobility and transport, access to services and information.
