About Adaptation Scotland

Adaptation Scotland brings together stakeholders in Scotland to address and prepare for the impacts of climate change.

Adaptation Scotland works to “increase the resilience of organisations and infrastructure in Scotland to meet the challenges and opportunities presented by the impacts of climate change”.

The team works across policy and practical adaptation:

  • Supporting policy framework implementation;
  • Providing adaptation planning support for organisations and communities;
  • Delivering adaptation skills training to help build capacity;
  • A gateway for adaptation information in Scotland; and
  • Providing technical support on the application of the UK Climate Projections and other key information.

Adaptations Scotland is managed by Sniffer as part of a collaborative partnership approach across climate resilience, sustainable cities, resilient catchments, environment and health, and environmental regulation. The partnership was formerly known as the Scottish Climate Change Imapcts Partnership.
