Guidance

SCCIP develops guidance for the public, private and third sectors to assist organisations to identify the risks and opportunities posed by climate change and how to put in place adaptation strategies to deal with these.

  • Guidance on how to undertake a Local Climate Change Impact Profile (LCLIP) is available from SCCIP on an ongoing basis. Please visit the LCLIP section of the website or contact anna@sniffer.org.uk
  • Guidance for businesses on how to adapt to a changing climate was published by SCCIP in June 2010.. Please contact lorraine@sniffer.org.uk
  • SCCIP will develop guidance for local authorities on progressing adaptation later in 2010. Please contact anna@sniffer.org.uk
  • Guidance for communities on how to adapt to a changing climate is being considered. SCCIP would welcome enquiries about this so that it meets user needs. Please contact julian@sniffer.org.uk
  • The Scottish UKCP09 User Community brings together organisations that are working with the latest climate projections. The community will identify and via SCCIP promote examples of good practice in how the projections can be used to assess vulnerabilities to climate change, to inform decision making and to develop adaptation actions.
