Impacts of Recent Weather Events

Information about the impacts and consequences of recent past weather events can be used as a starting point for considering how well we cope with current weather events and how we might be impacted by future projected changes in climate.

UKCIP’s Local Climate Impacts Profile (LCLIP) tool provides a simple framework for considering the impacts and consequences of recent past weather events. This tool is being used by organisations across Scotland to better understand how their services, infrastructure and partner organisations have been impacted by weather events.

Local Climate Impacts Profile project findings

Adaptation Scotland has compiled the findings of completed LCLIP projects to provide a national overview of findings to date and individual profiles of each completed local project.

The project findings include a natinal log of recent past weather events recorded by local authorities as part of their LCLIP project work.
