A regional climate change adaptation strategy and action plan for Glasgow and the Clyde Valley

The Climate Ready Clyde project was set up by the Adaptation Scotland programme and has already increased understanding of how changes in climate are likely to affect different organisations, services and sectors across the Glasgow and Clyde Valley city region.

Project partners developed a shared vision setting out a clear and ambitious commitment to working together to adapt to the impacts of climate change - download the vision at the bottom of this page.

The Climate Ready Clyde initiative is now being developed independently of the Adaptation Scotland programme by Sniffer and regional partners with the support of the Scottish Government. As a result of our initial work, Local Authorities, NHS Boards, local universities and other key organisations are collectively contributing time and resources to making the Glasgow City Region a more resilient place to live. Activities underway include a full regional Climate Change Risk and Opportunity Assessment, creating a risk screening toolkit for major construction projects and an economic assessment of climate risks. Visit the Sniffer website for the latest updates.
