Work with us at the cutting edge of place-based adaptation

Join our working group to share insights, opinions and expertise so we can help make places that are sustainable, just and adaptive to climate change.

If you work on place based climate adaptation or in a complimentary sector (such as health, social justice, housing, innovation, mitigation, planning etc.) we would love to hear from you! The group will meet up to four times in the first year.

Benefits of joining:

  • Networking and opportunity to form partnerships
  • being at cutting edge of place based adaptation
  • playing a key role in ensuring a climate ready Scotland
  • professional development and knowledge exchange
  • collaborating on events and resource development

Scotland has a bespoke and trail-blazing approach to place based adaptation. Across Scotland there are many successful adaptation initiatives addressing cross-sectoral and multi-level governance issues, empowering communities to be part of change processes and enhancing the resilience of localities and regions. Adaptation Scotland has already supported a number of place based initiatives ranging from the small (such as Levenmouth Adapts) to the large (Edinburgh Adapts and Climate Ready Clyde).

By pooling our knowledge we can build on the momentum we already have and make strides towards making more resilient places.

Would you like to join us? Please let us know if you are interested by emailing [email protected] by October 21st.
