Your sector

Working through an adaptation process will be different for communities, businesses and public sector organisations. To reflect this, we have developed tools and resources to support each sector and how they work.

To get started it can be useful to see how climate change is affecting your sector and what the main drivers are for adaptation.

For the public sector, the drivers might be complying with the Public Bodies Climate Change Duties. For a business there could be issues around staff safety, supply chain or a changing climate opening up new business opportunities. And for communities across Scotland, there could be consequences from the changes in the seasons, the increased frequency of flood events or changes in the local flora and fauna.
